NWL GP Federation Team are piloting a liver surveillance programme for patients who are deemed at risk of liver damage. Risk factors for liver damage can be infections (such as Hepatitis), excess alcohol intake and type 2 diabetes.
You will be invited for a routine blood test and dependent on the results, be offered lifestyle advice or be invited for a fibroscan of your liver. This is a safe and non-invasive test, similar to an ultrasound scan.
