This is usually provided by one of the attending midwives from Queen's Hospital Burton. Their clinic times are as follows:
Monday | 09:00 -12:00 | 13:30-16:30 |
Wednesday | 09:00 -12:30 | 13:30-16:30 |
Thursday | 09:00 -12:00 | 13:30-16:00 |
The clinic days and times are subject to change.
If you are unable to see the midwife then the doctors will undertake your checks for you.
These are operated by the Health Visitors.
You will be advised of the dates and times by the midwife during your antenatal appointments.
You will be invited for a check with the Advanced Nurse Practitioner six weeks after the birth of your baby.
Your baby will have an 8-week check with the GP.
The Health Visitor will offer you these appointments, so please check the frequency of these with them.

The Healthy Start programme is run by Leicestershire County Council to provide support to families with children between the age of 0-5 years old. It also offers support to any ladies who are more than 10 weeks pregnant. The Healthy Start programme provides any eligible families with a healthy start card with money on it that can be used in UK shops to help families afford vitamins, fresh food, infant formula milk etc.
